  • Porto won the first leg 2-1 in Germany

  • Stuttgart scored four away at Celtic in the play-off round

  • Recommended bet: Over 3.5 goals

It is still all to play for as Porto welcome Stuttgart to the Estadio do Dragao for this Europa League last-16 second leg.

The hosts are armed with a 2-1 advantage following the first leg in Germany but they will remain wary of a Stuttgart side that likes to operate on the front foot.

Francesco Farioli will expect his side to finish the job off but there could be plenty of ups and downs along the way.

Team news

Porto are without attackers Samu Omorodion and Luuk de Jong, both of whom are sidelined for the remainder of the season with knee injuries.

Martim Fernandes was on the bench for the first leg after collecting a knock against Benfica, but he came through 90 minutes in the weekend win over Moreirense and could start here.

The visiting side are set to line up once again without the services of Lazar Jovanovic (back) and Josha Vagnoman (thigh).

Bilal El Khannouss completed a domestic suspension and got a 20-minute cameo in the weekend's Bundesliga win over RB Leipzig. He has scored five times in 10 European outings this season.

The stats

Five of Stuttgart's last seven games in all competitions have produced at least four goals.

Prediction

All three goals in the first leg in Germany came before half-time as Porto scored twice in six minutes before the half hour, while Deniz Undav responded for Stuttgart.

It was a wide open contest with 29 efforts at goal between them and 13 shots landing on target.

Porto have scored in 16 consecutive home games, including netting three times in four of the last six here. Eight of Stuttgart's last nine away game have gone over 2.5 goals.

On the road the Bundesliga side have scored 16 goals in their last six away games and they will certainly feel they can still get after this tie.

Porto are formidable at the Estadio do Dragao and, while the hosts to win in a contest where both teams score is tempting, over 3.5 goals just about trumps that outcome based on the sense that both teams will go for it and they have the attacking artillery to do damage.
