Ruud Gullit not convinced by PSV player: ‘I have my doubts about him. He makes me nervous’
PSV will make two changes to the starting XI they fielded against RB Leipzig last week for Tuesday evening's clash with FC Porto. One is Yarek Gasiorowski, who starts ahead of Armando Obispo in defence. Nordin Amrabat would have made a different choice, according to Ziggo Sport.
Bosz pairs the Spaniard with Lutsharel Geertruida in central defence.
"He's dropped Obispo. I would have picked Ryan Flamingo instead. Because he's up against Samu (Aghehowa, ed.), and he's a 1.95-metre beast."
"And I do like Ryan Flamingo in one-on-one situations. He's exceptionally strong then. With Gasiorowski, we'll just have to see how it works out today."
Gullit has concerns about Flamingo. "Especially when he's on the ball. He makes me nervous at times. So I think he needs to gain a bit more confidence."
"I do agree with you that Flamingo is better one-on-one. But he isn't very tall. I'm curious, though. I think they'll go for a bit more possession and hope to launch a counter-attack that way."
"But then you need to get players into the penalty area in time. And that hardly ever happens; they struggle with that a bit. Especially because three strikers are absent," Gullit concludes.
