Gerry Cardinale turned heads at Milanello on Saturday, watching Ruben Amorim’s press conference in a red cap bearing the slogan “Make Milan Great Again”.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, citing MilanNews, the Rossoneri owner arrived in the morning to watch training before taking a front-row seat as Amorim previewed Sunday’s trip to Sassuolo.

The cap is a play on “Make America Great Again”, the slogan made famous by Donald Trump during his first presidential campaign.

The RedBird founder, who completed his takeover of Milan in 2022, is staying with the squad for the weekend and will be at the Mapei Stadium for Sunday’s match.

Before this weekend’s games, the Rossoneri were fifth on 11 points, two behind Roma, Inter and Lazio. They resume without Alexis Saelemaekers and Pervis Estupiñán through injury. Their last Scudetto came in 2022, a few months before Cardinale took over.
