Wilder confirms Sheffield United return
Chris Wilder has confirmed Femi Seriki is back available for Sheffield United ahead of Saturday’s clash with Derby County.
The 24-year-old has been sidelined since late August but is now in contention to feature.
“Femi is available,” Wilder said.
“We’ve missed him and the likes of Harrison, Ryan and Chongy.
“We’ve seen their impact recently, the upturn in our performances and the contributions they’ve made off the bench.”
Wilder admitted it can be difficult for players returning from injury to immediately regain full match sharpness without the reserve-team football that was available in the past.
“It is really difficult for them to go straight back in the team,” he added.
“In the days of reserve games, you’d give them two or three of them, it is more complicated now.
“But we’ve integrated them now, so to get Femi back gives us a good option in that position.”
