Southampton must keep a firm grip on their latest gem as big clubs begin to circle
The loan players away from Southampton at the moment continue to impress.
Nicholas Oyekunle has now two Leyton Orient goals next to his name after scoring against the Arsenal U21s this mid-week in the EFL Trophy, with a reserve spot potentially opening back up at his parent employers, when Divin Mubama returns to Manchester City.
Moreover, Moses Sesay continues to be a good fit at Colchester United in League Two, with an assist coming his way earlier this month when the U's travelled to Swindon Town in league action.
Of course, the most impressive youngster is yet to be named, as Jay Robinson has become an instant fan's favourite at AC Monza in Serie A for his direct displays up top.
He scored a beauty of a long-range effort against Parma on only his second Serie A outing, and he was lively last time out as Monza faced Lecce, with three shots unfortunately not finding the back of the net.
Southampton will be glad that he's excelling away from his boyhood employers, but his promising displays in Lombardy have not gone unnoticed, with a huge club now keen on snapping up the tricky 19-year-old.
The huge club looking at Robinson
Reports filtering through from Italy indicate that Inter Milan - the 21-time Serie A champions - are keen on landing the teenage forward after his impressive start at Monza.
Italian journalist Pasquale Guarro has come out to state, via social media, that Inter will be monitoring the performances of Robinson very closely under Ivan Juric, who he states is already "making his mark" at the top-flight minnows.
This isn't the most concrete report, but it's interesting that Robinson is already turning heads at his new loan club, a mere four games into his stint away from the Saints.
If he keeps this early form up, it would not be a shock to see Inter come forward with a bid, and Robinson would surely be a tempted by a move to the decorated club.
From Eckert and Co's perspective, they will need to stand firm, as they can't lose another young gem.

Southampton have fallen victim to several blunders in the transfer market when getting rid of starlets prematurely.
Samuel Amo-Ameyaw is just one example that will sting, as he was chucked out on loan to Strasbourg at the start of 2025, only to never return to the South Coast.
Now, he has two Ligue 1 goals this season from only four outings, and he's even played in the Europa Conference League, since leaving his boyhood side behind.
Dom Ballard is another sickening instance that will keep the Saints up at night, as he's banging home the goals regularly for Bristol City in the Championship, only a year after he was discarded cheaply to League One.
It's clear that Robinson is a very talented player.
After all, he scored the first goal of the Eckert caretaker reign last season, when he stylishly curled home an effort against Queens Park Rangers.
He didn't quite kick on after this, with injuries troubling him, hence why he was moved out on loan so he could gain regular minutes, away from the pressures of a Championship promotion battle.
If he continues to light up the Serie A, the best move on Eckert and Co's end could be to cut short this loan spell, as Robinson would likely be a better back-up than a wantaway Samuel Edozie.
Even if they were to do this, Inter could still come crawling back, keen on winning the Monza number 46.
Hopefully, they manage to keep a firm grip on him, despite the allure of the San Siro being so tantalising, or another rueful mishap might have to be added to the list.
