Skubala provides update on injured Bristol City star

Lorent Tolaj could return to the Bristol City squad for Saturday’s clash with Sheffield United, Michael Skubala says.

The forward missed Tuesday night’s 1-0 defeat to Blackburn Rovers at Ashton Gate, where Dapo Afolayan’s first-half goal proved decisive.

Skubala is hopeful Tolaj may be fit enough to make the bench this weekend, although the game could still come too soon.

“Tolly might be Saturday,” Skubala said.

“If not, I think Tolly will be fit for the next game.

“This Saturday might come too soon for him, but he might make the bench.

“If not, he’ll be involved, hopefully, the Saturday after [away at Stoke].”
