Ilias Chair, Koki Saito and Rumarn Burrell are all closing in on returns for QPR, providing Julien Stephan with some welcome positive injury news.

Chair is nearing the end of his rehabilitation after missing the last four games, while Burrell and Saito have both resumed partial training.

“He worked very well individually. He’s close to coming back collectively with us,” Stephan said on Chair.

“Depending on the last scan he will have at the end of the week and how he restarts collectively with us, we are at the end of the rehab with him.

“He worked very well. He’s very positive. Everyone is very positive around him about the rehab, so I think he’s in a good place now to come back quite quickly.”

Burrell is also progressing after returning to partial training.

“He restarted some individual sessions, so progressing well,” Stephan said.

“So, we have to see now how the situation evolves before thinking about collective sessions.”

Saito is also expected to miss Wednesday night’s Championship clash with Derby County but Stephan is hopeful he will be back soon.

However, Tariq Lamptey is set to miss Wednesday’s clash after picking up an ankle injury against West Ham on Friday.
