Peixoto explains why attacker did not feature against Watford as he gives updates on Wolves trio
Cesar Peixoto fears Ghislain Konan could be set for a spell on the sidelines after picking up an injury.
The Ivory Coast international did not feature in the 1-0 win over Watford along with Nasser Djiga, who has a groun issue.
“Konan I think is a little worse,” Peixoto said.
“I have to talk with the doctor. They were doing the exam today and I do not have the result.”
Peixoto delivered a more positive update on Djiga, however.
“Nasser is nothing too bad, though I am not a doctor,” he said.
Fer Lopez was named among the substitutes against the Hornets due to struggling with a calf issue, with Peixoto opting not to take any risk with him.
“Fer was on the bench and if we needed him would have played,” he added.
“We did not take a risk.”
Despite the victory, some Wolves supporters were left unconvinced by the display and let their feelings be known.
“I understand the supporters,” Peixoto said. “We are going to work hard to make them happy with our play, with our result. It is our task in the club.
“I want to get the supporters behind us again. It is important for us.
“We can play better, it is true. For now, for sure, the team is going to improve in the next weeks.”
