Mousinho reveals more bad injury news – but is delighted with Portsmouth’s win over Norwich
John Mousinho has confirmed Keshi Anderson is facing six to eight weeks on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring tear.
The Portsmouth attacker picked up the injury during Wednesday’s 3-2 win over Sheffield United and missed the win over Norwich City.
“He has got a hamstring tear so we’re looking at six to eight weeks out for him,” Mousinho said.
The Pompey boss also revealed striker Colby Bishop was withdrawn from the squad at short notice ahead of Saturday’s win at Norwich after feeling discomfort in his knee.
“We’re really thin on the ground at the moment,” Mousinho said.
“We had two goalkeepers on the bench and lost a player in the warm-up today [Colby Bishop].
“He felt his knee and didn’t feel quite right.”
Mousinho hailed the players who secured him back-to-back wins, however: “We have to always believe that if we keep doing the right things on the pitch, then we’ll get rewarded for that.
“The centre-halves were both excellent and we defended well as a team. It was pleasing to not look overly exposed, although there were still moments when we could have made it easier for ourselves.”
