West Ham United fans are growing disillusioned with Nuno Espírito Santo. Those supporters who stayed till the final whistle at the London Stadium for the defeat to West Bromwich Albion booed the Hammers off. This is not a good sign for any manager, especially with the international break coming up.

There was a recent rumour that West Ham had made preliminary talks with Rob Edwards. He got Luton Town promoted from the Championship. However, his recent record with Wolverhampton Wanderers after jumping ship from Middlesbrough would concern Hammers fans.

Now, Alan Nixon has reported that, along with Edwards, West Ham also have Scott Parker and Kieran McKenna on their shortlist.

Parker is a West Ham legend who even managed to win the Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year for the 2010/11 season, when West Ham were relegated from the Premier League. His passion was unquestionable, and he is known for giving an inspirational team talk that sparked West Ham into a comeback draw with West Bromwich Albion after being three goals down.

Many fans have even forgiven Parker for joining Tottenham Hotspur from West Ham. The midfielder needed to be playing in the Premier League to keep his place in the England squad ahead of Euro 2012.

Scott Parker could be a West Ham hero once again

Parker also has a good record of getting teams out of the Championship. He guided AFC Bournemouth, Fulham, and Burnley to promotion. However, he does not have a good record of keeping teams in the top flight, as he suffered relegation with Fulham and Burnley. With Bournemouth, he was sacked after just four games back in the Premier League. His final game was a 9-0 loss to Liverpool, where his rant at full-time also led to his dismissal.

McKenna has a similar record to Parker, in that he got Ipswich Town promoted from the Championship twice. He also got them up from League One. However, McKenna has also been relegated from the Premier League.

Along with his experience at Ipswich, McKenna also worked as an assistant at Manchester United to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Jose Mourinho, Ralf Rangnick, and Michael Carrick. McKenna, Parker, and Edwards are all currently out of work, so they are available to take over at the Hammers.

West Ham fans are frustrated that the club always employs unemployed managers instead of trying to poach a new boss. However, all three are strong candidates with experience in getting clubs up from the Championship. Many West Ham fans would want the club to consider Craig Bellamy, who is the current Wales boss, also for the job.

Bellamy has done a good job with Wales and was linked with the Burnley job over the summer. He had previously helped the Clarets achieve promotion from the Championship as Vincent Kompany's assistant. Bellamy is also a former West Ham player, which will help in getting supporters onside.
