Middlesbrough duo unlikely to feature against Bolton

Middlesbrough are likely to have an unchanged squad for their trip to Bolton Wanderers, with David Strelec and Alfie Jones both set to remain sidelined.

Strelec is closing in on a return and is expected to resume full training at the start of next week, but Friday’s fixture will come too soon.

Jones is set to take longer in his recovery having not played since last month, meanwhile.

“It’s a similar situation, like we talked about last time,” Boro boss Kim Hellberg said.

“David will train fully hopefully on Monday. Alfie is a little bit further away.”
