International Hammers: Which West Ham players will be in action for their countries?
The excitement around previous international breaks for West Ham United fans was the prospect of seeing Jarrod Bowen in action for England. However, as he has stayed with West Ham despite relegation, he has little chance of making Thomas Tuchel's squad.
There will still be multiple West Ham players in action for their countries this international break. This includes the likes of Dinos Mavropanos, Mads Hermansen, Manor Solomon, and Edvin Austbø.
West Ham United players on international duty
Dinos Mavropanos - Greece
Defensively, Mavropanos has not been in the best of form so far this season. However, the centre-back has been a threat from set-pieces. He has popped up with three goals in West Ham's last three Championship games.
Mavropanos' Greece has away Nations League fixtures against Serbia and Germany. They will then play the Netherlands and Germany in the competition at home.
Manor Solomon - Israel
Solomon has hit the ground running since joining West Ham. He already has two goals and two assists in eight Championship games so far. He has 49 caps for Israel, so he will expect to make it a half-century this international break.
Israel begins their Nations League campaign with an away match against Austria. Due to Israel's war on Hamas, the country is not allowed to play at home. Therefore, their home fixtures against Ireland and Kosovo will be played in Hungary.
Much of Ireland's population is pro-Palestinian, which led to the Football Association of Ireland asking UEFA not to draw their country against Israel in competitions. However, this was rejected. Ireland's home match against Israel will now be played behind closed doors in Serbia.
Mads Hermansen - Denmark
Hermansen's form for West Ham has been mixed so far this season. However, he did make a great save in the recent match against Millwall.
Denmark has big boots to fill in goal after the retirement of Kasper Schmeichel. Hermansen only has three caps, but this still makes him the most experienced goalkeeper in Denmark's squad. They also have Filip Jørgensen, who is on loan at Strasbourg from Chelsea. However, he only has two caps. Denmark have also called up Andreas Jungdal, but he is yet to make a senior appearance.
The Nations League for Denmark begins with an away match against fellow Scandinavian side Norway. They will then play Denmark and Wales at home. Then they will travel to Cardiff to play Wales.
Edvin Austbø - Norway U21
Austbø is yet to really get going in a West Ham shirt so far. He had a good cameo against Derby County, where he got a goal and an assist. However, he has not had a goal involvement since then and was left on the bench against Wrexham.
The winger also made comments to the Norwegian media outlet Stavanger Aftenblad that he wanted to play for a bigger club and for West Ham to sell him one day. This did not go down well with West Ham fans. It is good that Austbø has ambitions, but he should have phrased this better.
His Norway U21 side is currently top of Group B in the European Under-21 Championship qualifiers. During this international break, they have an away game against the Netherlands. Austbø's side then have a home game against Bosnia and Herzegovina. This will be played at the ground of his former club, Viking.
Norway will then round off their qualifying campaign with an away match against Israel. However, the venue for this game is still to be confirmed.
Airidas Golambeckis, Finlay Herrick, Ezra Mayers and Divine Mukasa - England U20
The England U20 squad will have four West Ham youngsters. They will be in action in the U20 Euro Elite League and have fixtures against Italy, France, and Germany, with all the fixtures taking place in Spain.
