Eustace confirms another Derby County injury blow after draw with Wrexham

Max Johnston has been added to Derby County’s injury list, with the defender expected to be sidelined for around two weeks.

The Scotland international missed Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Wrexham at Pride Park, where Derby were denied a first home win of the season by Ollie Rathbone’s late equaliser.

Johnston had been considered an option at left-back amid Derby’s injury problems but was absent from the matchday squad.

Asked about his absence after the game, boss John Eustace said: “It’ll be a couple of weeks, I think.

“He took a knock on his knee a few weeks ago in training.

“I hope it’s not serious, but you never know.”
