Davies confirms triple Birmingham City injury boost but also reveals fresh blow
Chris Davies has confirmed Max Bird, Taylor Gardner-Hickman and Demarai Gray are all back in contention for Birmingham City following the international break.
Birmingham take on rivals West Brom on Saturday with all three expected to play a part.
“They have both trained and got through some good training sessions,” Davies said.
“Taylor had been out for a fair bit longer than Max with that, but they’re both looking good and they’re in contention.
“They were training a little bit but the game [a friendly against Coventry] came too soon.
“They’ve had another week and they’re available but starting a match would probably be a step too far for them at the moment.”
Gray is also working his way back towards full fitness and could be included.
“It’s similar with Demarai,” Davies added.
“He’s building himself back up and he’s in contention.”
There was less positive news on Paik Seung-ho, however, with the midfielder set to miss the trip to West Brom because of a knock.
“Paik has picked up a bit of a knock that he’s been carrying for a little while,” Davies said.
“So he’s the only one that is looking like he will be missing a few games, but everyone else seems to be in good shape.”
