Burnley boss Fabio Celestini says Zeki Amdouni is set to return to team training on Wednesday as he closes in on a comeback from injury.

Amdouni has been sidelined since last month but has progressed well in his recovery.

“Wednesday he trains with the team,” Celestini said.

“He has a very good feeling. Today, maybe it’s the last time he trains alone and normally he comes back on Wednesday.

“That will be a boost, because he’s a very talented player and I know him well.”

There was less positive news on Armando Broja, however, with Celestini admitting the striker is not yet close to a return.

“With Armando, it’s day by day,” he said.

“We must see what happens, but it’s not so close to coming back.

“We don’t know exactly how many weeks.”

Dastan Satpayev is set for another spell on the sidelines, however.

“We work now with Chelsea,” he explained.

“He has hamstring problems, muscular problems. We must see it together, step by step, day by day and see what happens.”
