Burnley will be without Anel Ahmedhodzic for their next two games after the defender entered concussion protocols.

The centre-back is set to be sidelined for 12 days, ruling him out of the clash with Wolves on Friday.

“He has a concussion, so he will be out for the protocol for 12 days,” Hayen said.

“It’s another disappointment of course, but okay we have to accept it and we have to be ready for the game tomorrow.

“Now it’s for other players to take their chance. They’re waiting and working hard for their chance so now they have to step up.”

There was better news on Dastan Satpayev, who will return to the squad after Chelsea prevented the teenager from featuring against Charlton in midweek.

The 18-year-old is still having his workload managed following injury and will not be available for the full game.

“If you play three games in one week, you have to be careful with the load so that he doesn’t get injured,” Hayen said.

“But unfortunately it was that we could need him against Charlton but that’s the way it goes.

“But he’s back in the selection for tomorrow’s game but again with the restricted minutes.”

Josh Cullen and Jaydon Banel are also closing in on returns but will not be ready for the Wolves game.

“They trained today,” Hayen said.

“Next week they have a normal training week and then they can be back in the selection.

“Three players are actually coming back or two, Ashley Barnes also, but he’s not in the squad list.

“But it’s important also for the group in terms of mentality and culture so we’re looking forward to having them back.”

Zeki Amdouni, Jordan Beyer, Bashir Humphreys, Hannibal, Aaron Ramsey, Mike Tresor, Shurandy Sambo and Michael Obafemi are all still sidelined too.
