Dinos Mavropanos returned from injury against Cardiff City this week, which was a huge boost for the Hammers. Soungoutou Magassa, who was frozen out under Nuno Espírito Santo, returned but only played 45 minutes. Still no sign of Edson Alvarez or Kieber Lamadrid. Morato and Taty Castellanos, along with Magassa, were taken off at half-time against the Bluebirds. Therefore, they will likely be dropped to the bench.

Blackburn has a few injuries, including Adam Forshaw, Matty Litherland, Lewis Miller, and Ryoya Morishita. Also, Ryan Alebiosu was forced off due to injury in mid-week against Stoke City.

Predicted West Ham lineup vs. Blackburn: Hermansen; Veltman, Mavropanos, Kilman, Mayers; Engels, Kante; Mukasa; Bowen, Piroe, Austbo

Predicted Blackburn lineup vs. West Ham: Toth, Beyuku, Carter, McLoughlin, Pickering; Morsy, Montgomery; Cantwell; Fevrier, Gudjohnson, Afolyan

The second-half comeback against Cardiff was something to build on for West Ham. Scott Parker will also have a few days to get to know the squad better before facing Blackburn. However, it is still a quick turnaround for the new head coach.

Blackburn has lost their last two games, so neither side goes into this match in good form. West Ham do have momentum after scoring three in the second half against the Bluebirds. Therefore, I am going to go for a 3-1 win for the Hammers.
