MK Dons, however, are unlikely to simply sit back. Warne's side were excellent travellers during their promotion-winning campaign, scoring almost two goals per away game in League Two, and they have recruited well enough to believe they can trouble Championship opposition.
Norwich's home defensive record last season was far from convincing, so while the hosts should progress, the visitors can play their part in an entertaining cup tie.
