Incredible World Cup hero is coming to Liverpool
An incredible wonderkid is coming to Liverpool who has become a World Cup hero for his country.
The Julian Ward era has begun at Anfield. There's hope that it will be as fruitful as the promise shown by his predecessor, Richard Hughes.
Liverpool have invested in their future over the last few years. The Reds have surrendered immediate success for a long-term vision buying future superstars in order to shed their veterans and build an exciting young squad.
Hughes' strategy involved buying some of the best young players on the market. Florian Wirtz, Jeremy Jacquet, Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez and Bradley Barcola all fall into that category.
They have subsequently become the foundations for this current Liverpool team. Sprinkled in are some even younger players like Rio Ngumoha and Trey Nyoni.
Meet Liverpool's stars of the future
And there are even more youngsters hoping to become key players in the club's future. There are high hopes for Joshua Abe, who made a first-team appearance in pre-season.
Ifeanyi Ndukwe currently out on loan and catching the eye at Levante is another exciting young centre-back.
Alongside him Liverpool have Mor Talla Ndiaye playing some brilliant football for the U21 team. Will Wright simply cannot stop scoring and has been in magnificent form having already reached double figures for the U21 and U19 teams combined.
There's Lucca Brughmanns who became the most expensive U23 goalkeeper of all time when he was signed by the Reds.
And let's not forget about Luca Eden, who is producing special performances week in, week out at academy level and earning comparisons to Steven Gerrard.
Another incredible wonderkid to add to Liverpool's list - Michael Mulholland
Soon, Liverpool fans will become to know the name Michael Mulholland very well, too.
Liverpool have agreed to sign the youngster when he celebrates his 16th birthday next year and he is expected to join the club in the January window.
Until then, Mulholland is playing his club football in Northern Ireland for Crusaders FC, where he already scored his first goal for the senior team becoming the youngest to ever find the back of the net at that level in the club's history.
Now, Mulholland is catching the eye at the U15 World Cup. He scored seven goals and registered one assist in his first four appearances at the tournament so far.
He has guided his country to the round of 32 of the tournament and they will face Venezuela on Wednesday morning to see if they can get even further in the knock-out rounds.
But already Mulholland is his country's World Cup hero, and soon he will on his way to Liverpool.
