He analysed Mbappe's goal and penalty: a refereeing expert cries out, "Is this what you will be showing at the 2030 World Cup final?"
Did Endrick deserve a penalty?
A Spanish refereeing expert has given his view on some of the incidents in the match between Real Madrid and Sevilla, played on Sunday in La Liga.
Refereeing controversy dominated the game, but one problem was obvious to everyone: the poor quality of the television coverage and the absence of clear replays of some of the contentious incidents.
Iturralde Gonzalez, the refereeing expert for the newspaper "AS" and the radio station "Cadena SER", complained about the lack of clear footage in the incident in which Sevilla's players demanded that Arda Guler be sent off in the 22nd minute.
He said: "I see him extend his arm, but you cannot see it striking his face because the images are very poor. It is a shame: if we are the best league in the world, the quality of the replay should not be like this."
Other incidents told the same story. Before Mbappe's goal in the 37th minute, which was Real Madrid's second, Sevilla claimed there had been a foul by Konate on Ruben Vargas at the start of the move.
Again there was no clear replay, something Iturralde complained about, saying: "It is a foul in midfield. If it was a foul, it would have been a red card, because Vargas was one-on-one with the goal."
His anger grew: "But this cannot happen again, footage this bad in a five-star stadium equipped with 32 cameras. This is not befitting of the best league in the world."
Then came the question: "Are these the images they are going to show in the World Cup final that we want in 2030?"
Spain is competing with Morocco to host the final of the 2030 World Cup, which Portugal is also co-hosting.
Did Endrick deserve a penalty?
In the second half, specifically in the 52nd minute, Endrick claimed he had been fouled by one of the opposition players inside the penalty area, specifically that he had taken a blow from Castrin to the face.
The replay showed two contacts, albeit slight ones. Iturralde dismissed it: "That is football, it is nothing."
Nine minutes later, referee Busquets Ferrer awarded a penalty in Mbappe's favour following a foul committed by Castrin on the French player.
The referee saw the incident clearly at first glance, and the video assistant referee (VAR) did not intervene to overturn his decision.
Iturralde backed Busquets, saying: "He ran from behind and caught him on the leg. In rugby this is called tackling the French."
