Albion have taken four points from their first two matches in the league phase while their La Liga hosts were thumped 5-2 at home by Swiss side Lugano on matchday two, which followed a draw away to Romanian outfit Universitatea Craiova in their opener.

Team News

Getafe trio Christantus Uche, Juanmi and Zaid Romero will miss Brighton's visit through injury, but key pair Kiko Femenia and Borja Mayoral should start.

Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler has rotated in Europe this season and is likely to do so again on Thursday.

Femi Azeez, Evan Ferguson and Zadok Yohanna are injured and Pascal Struijk and Ferdi Kadioglu are doubts.

Need to know

Getafe finished seventh in La Liga last season but they are finding things harder this time around.

They did beat Sevilla 3-1 at home at the weekend, though, and remain unbeaten in six league games at their Madrid base.

However, they were thumped 5-2 by Lugano in the Spanish capital a fortnight ago.

There is just no stopping Brighton, who got over the agony of losing on penalties at Manchester City in the EFL Cup last Wednesday by beating the Citizens 1-0 on their swift return to the Etihad at the weekend.

That was Albion's sixth win in nine league matches and their 10th clean sheet of the season in all competitions.

Prediction

Brighton look to be one of the strongest teams in the Premier League this season so, given the strength of the English top flight, they can justifiably be seen as the most powerful side in the Conference League.

West Ham, Chelsea and Crystal Palace have all won this competition since its inception and Brighton should prove too good for Getafe, who have won only five times this season.

Jack Hinshelwood should get a chance to start for the Seagulls in Madrid and the rising star could make his mark at the Coliseum.

The 21-year-old has had to be content with minutes off the bench in the Premier League, but he has started both of Brighton's league-phase matches and scored in the 4-0 win over Zalgiris on matchday one.

Albion have had no trouble finding the net this season and, in addition to their four goals against Zalgiris, have also scored at least three times against Aston Villa, Tromso, Chelsea, Coventry, Manchester United, Arsenal and Palace.

That firepower can see them contribute the lion's share of goals to a high-scoring affair.
