Sokin joins Chelsea as sleeve partner before Tottenham derby
Chelsea have named Sokin as their new sleeve partner, and the payments company’s logo will appear on the shirt for the first time as Tottenham Hotspur visit Stamford Bridge this weekend.
Multi-year deal covers men’s, women’s and academy kits
The club has agreed a multi-year partnership with Sokin, a London-headquartered firm that provides business payments and foreign exchange services. Under the agreement, Sokin becomes a Principal Partner and the Official Business Payments and FX Partner of both Chelsea FC and Chelsea FC Women, according to the club’s official announcement.
The Sokin name will sit on the sleeves of the home, away and third kits worn by the men’s first team, the women’s side and the academy from the 2026/27 season. Supporters at the Bridge get their first look at it during Saturday’s London derby against Spurs.
The deal is not only about shirt branding. Chelsea say Sokin will simplify how the club sends, receives and manages money in the currencies it operates in, a daily task for an organisation dealing with partners, competitions and supporters around the world.
What Chelsea and Sokin said
Chelsea president Jason Gannon described the company as a natural fit for the club. “At Chelsea, we seek to partner with organisations that share our ambition and innovative mindset,” he said, adding that the club was pleased to welcome Sokin “to the Chelsea family”.
Vroon Modgill, Sokin’s chief executive and founder, pointed to the international scale of the club’s business. “Chelsea plays on the biggest stage in world football, and its business runs in dozens of currencies,” he said. “We’re proud to be the platform behind the business payments and FX of one of the most iconic teams in football.”
According to the announcement, businesses move more than $11 billion a year through Sokin’s platform, which serves customers in more than 170 countries.
A new look for a busy run of games
Commercial agreements rarely change much on the pitch, but the timing means the new sleeve arrives in front of a big audience. The Tottenham derby is one of the most watched fixtures on Chelsea’s calendar, and it opens a demanding stretch for Xabi Alonso’s side, with a Carabao Cup trip to Anfield to face Liverpool on Wednesday 28 October.
Because the partnership covers the women’s team and the academy as well as the men’s side, the Sokin logo will be visible across every level of the club’s matchday kit this season, from the first team down to the youngest academy sides.
