Official: Real Madrid squad for the La Liga game against Racing Club

After a memorable win over FC Barcelona at the Spotify Camp Nou in the first El Clasico of the 2026-27 season, Real Madrid are set to return to action in La Liga tonight, on Sunday, as they travel to Santander to face the newly promoted Racing Club side.

As Jose Mourinho commented in his press conference ahead of this game, the Merengues would have to get another win in this game to ensure their gains with the win against Barcelona are to remain meaningful. This is especially the case as the Catalans got a 6-1 win over Alaves in their last league game.

Real Madrid have already announced their squad for this upcoming match, and the latest list is almost the same as the one for El Clasico. The most notable difference is the absence of Federico Valverde, who was injured in the last game and played for a significant amount of time with pain. He is expected to return for the next game against AEK Athens, but against Racing, either Denzel Dumfries or Trent Alexander-Arnold would take the starting spot on the right-back position.

Ferland Mendy, Rodrygo Goes, and Raul Asencio continue to recover from their injuries in the meantime and have not travelled with the team to Santander.
