Morgan Rogers has hailed a 'massive' result after Chelsea secured a 2-0 win over Manchester United.

Chelsea bounced back from recent setbacks against Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool in league and cup to earn three important points at Stamford Bridge, with Rogers and Cole Palmer on the scoresheet.

Rogers opened the scoring early in the second half with a sublime solo effort, before Palmer made the result safe from the penalty spot. The visitors had Lisandro Martinez sent off during the penalty incident, after picking up a second booking in quick succession.

Rogers praised the performance from Chelsea and said the Blues 'stamped their authority' on the game. The win moved Chelsea up to fourth in the Premier League table.

Asked how big a win this was, Rogers told TNT Sports: "Massive. A difficult week with a poor result last weekend. We knew we had to come out here strong. In the second half, we stamped our authority and that was really good. We deserved the win."

Rogers has now scored five Premier League goals since his club record arrival from Aston Villa in the summer and the midfielder said he is 'loving' life in London.

"Loving it. A new challenge and looking forward to playing with these wonderful quality players. It is about the team coming together as a whole. Try to be a leader and stick to what I know best. A good start, but I need to keep going."
