More than 150 goals! Will Real Madrid and Jose Mourinho soon have a new super striker?
Kylian Mbappe is scoring at will at the moment – yet Real Madrid could soon have another prolific striker in their squad: the son of a club legend.
Enzo Alves, the son of former top star Marcelo, signed his first professional contract with Real Madrid only in January. According to as, the 17-year-old is now likely to feature increasingly in the first-team picture.
"The path to the first team is becoming ever clearer," the newspaper wrote in its headline, suggesting the attacker has a good chance of getting his first taste of coach Jose Mourinho's team.
Alves is regarded as one of the biggest talents at Real and in Spanish football. At just 15, he made his debut for the under-19s, the Juvenil A, last season and scored straight away in the derby against Atletico.
Under Alvaro Arbeloa, now on the touchline at Fulham in the Premier League, he also played for Real Madrid Castilla, Real Madrid's reserve team.
Even so, competition from Endrick and Carlos Espi alongside Mbappe will make minutes under Mourinho hard to come by. But Endrick in particular could be set to leave as early as January.
