Declan Rice has hit a historic personal milestone in the Premier League, further cementing his place among the competition's standout performers.

Mikel Arteta named the midfielder in his starting line-up once again for Arsenal's clash with Brighton on Saturday evening, and the reward was an unforgettable landmark.

According to Opta, "Rice plays his 300th Premier League start today, becoming, at 27 years and 249 days old, the third-youngest player to reach this number in Premier League history."

Only two men got there quicker. Gareth Barry reached 300 starts at 26 years and 323 days, and Frank Lampard managed the same at 27 years and 209 days.
