Chelsea star has quiet game against Everton – but is still praised for “hunger” by teammate
Morgan Rogers has hailed Morgan Rogers’ work rate and hunger as the pair continue to link up nicely in attack for the Blues.
Chelsea’s attack have carried this team at times in the early stages of this season, so on Saturday it was a relief to see a player who wasn’t Joao Pedro, Cole Palmer or Morgan Rogers get the goals that earned the team a win.
It was a relatively quiet day for that front three in fact, but speaking after the game Rogers was clear on how impressed he was by striker Joao Pedro, who he hadn’t played with until this season.
Rogers hails Joao Pedro’s hunger
“I think his hunger to score goals, his hunger to work for the team is massive,” Rogers said in quotes featured on the Chelsea official website.
“Especially for me, where I play on the pitch, it really helps me loads. He always gives me an option. I can always play off him; he can play off me.
“I think he’s a massive part of us, not just scoring goals as well; he works so hard. The relentless running in the channel and working defensively as well for the team.”
All three of them are working hard and attacking with quality. It’s a recipe for certain success.
