Borussia Dortmund fans are raving about Joey Veerman for a fine display in their 2-1 win over Sabah FK in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Serhou Guirassy netted both their goals on the night at the Baku Olympic Stadium but Veerman ran the show with his terrific passing range and creativity.
He laid six crosses on the night and created two big chances, including the one which led to Guirassy's second of the night.
Spotting the Guinean on the left side of the box, the midfielder sent in a lovely ball which Guirassy connected with a delicate touch to guide it beyond goalkeeper Stas Pokatilov.
The 27-year-old himself had two shots on target, one of which came from a free-kick from just outside the box which Pokatilov had to dive low to save just before the goal-line.
