Monaco finished 21st in the Champions League league phase
PSG won only four of their eight matches to finish 11th
Recommended bet: Both teams to score
Monaco managed to sneak through to the knockout play-off round thanks to a goalless draw with Juventus in their final league phase match and this is the second successive season in which the French side have made it this far.
Their reward, a clash against the reigning European champions and compatriots PSG.
Luis Enrique's side have not quite been as free flowing as they were last season, finishing the league phase in 11th position.
The Parisians started off well, beating Atalanta, Barcelona and Bayer Leverkusen by an aggregate score of 13-3, but won just once in their last five matches.

Team news
Monaco have a host of players absent for this match. Lukas Hradecky, Takumi Minamino and Mohamed Salisu all have knee problems, while Kassoum Ouattara, Paul Pogba and Eric Dier remain absent.
To make matters worse, Pape Cabral will also be missing, while it remains to be seen whether Lamine Camara and Maghnes Akliouche make the squad as they had to come off during Monaco's previous match.
For PSG, Fabian Ruiz remains absent, while winger Quentin Ndjantou is also deemed unfit for the clash due to a hamstring issue.
The stats
This will be the first time these two clubs have met on the European stage, but of course there is plenty of history between them domestically.
Monaco did win the most recent clash between the clubs, prevailing 1-0 back in November, but it is PSG who have the upper hand in the recent head-to-head.
Indeed, since the start of 2020, the French champions have won seven of the 15 matches played between the clubs, with Monaco winning five times.
Both teams have scored in four of the last seven meetings between the clubs.
PSG were the third-highest scorers in the Champions League group stage this season, although they did concede 11 goals.
Monaco, on the other hand, found the back of the net on just eight occasions, the third-lowest tally out of 36 teams.
PSG have been inconsistent recently, losing to Paris FC in the Coupe de France and Sporting Club in the Champions League, while in their most recent game, Enrique's side were beaten by Rennes.
Monaco defeated Nantes last time out, but that was only their second Ligue 1 victory this year.

Prediction
PSG will need to improve quickly if they harbour any serious ambition of defending their Champions League crown successfully this season.
Head coach Enrique will be desperate to see his side bounce back from the 3-1 domestic league defeat to Rennes at the weekend and a strong display in the Principality will mean they should qualify for the last 16.
Monaco will be stubborn opponents and could prove dangerous in the final third, so expect both teams to get on the scoresheet on Tuesday evening.
