  • Six teams still have perfect records after two matchdays, including holders PSG

  • All six Premier League teams are placed inside the top 24

  • Benfica, Athletic Bilbao, Ajax and Kairat are all still to earn a point

Matchday three of the Champions League takes place this week, with nine games on both Tuesday and Wednesday.

Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan, Arsenal and Qarabag all have six points, with Manchester City and Tottenham among those on four points and both are on the road this midweek.

Barcelona vs Olympiacos (Tuesday, 5.45pm)

Barcelona ended a run of two defeats by beating Girona 2-1 on Saturday and should have too much for Olympiacos.

The Greek champions are yet to score after two Champions League games, but Barca have conceded in their last five in all competitions, and could give up chances.

Score prediction: Barcelona 3-1 Olympiacos

Kairat vs Pafos (Tuesday, 5.45pm)

Kairat knocked Celtic out in qualifying but have lost to Sporting CP and Real Madrid by an aggregate of 9-1, while visitors Pafos held Olympiacos but were beaten 5-1 by Bayern Munich.

This may not be a classic, but home advantage could prove the difference.

Score prediction: Kairat 2-1 Pafos

Arsenal vs Atletico Madrid (Tuesday, 8pm)

Arsenal are yet to concede in this season's Champions League and kept another clean sheet in Saturday's 1-0 win at Fulham.

Atletico Madrid are more exciting than they used to be, but were frustrated for long spells in Saturday's 1-0 win over Osasuna and may struggle to create chances against Mikel Arteta's well-drilled defence.

Score prediction: Arsenal 2-0 Atletico Madrid

Copenhagen vs Borussia Dortmund (Tuesday, 8pm)

Borussia Dortmund's 2-1 Der Klassiker defeat was by no means a disgrace and they have made a good start in Europe, drawing 4-4 at Juventus – albeit they were 4-2 up in stoppage time – before beating Athletic Bilbao 4-1.

Copenhagen have drawn with Leverkusen but lost to Qarabag, the latter sparking a run of three without a win.

Score prediction: Copenhagen 1-3 Borussia Dortmund

Bayer Leverkusen vs PSG (Tuesday, 8pm)

Bayer Leverkusen have drawn both games and might now be settling down after a traumatic start to the season, during which new coach Erik ten Hag became their former coach after just three matches.

Holders PSG's wins over Atalanta and Barcelona have almost gone under the radar. However, Les Parisiens did draw 3-3 with Strasbourg on Friday, so they could be pushed by their hosts, who won 4-3 at Mainz on Saturday.

Score prediction: Bayer Leverkusen 2-3 PSG

Newcastle vs Benfica (Tuesday, 8pm)

Newcastle followed a 2-1 defeat to Barcelona with a 4-0 win at USG. Despite losing at Brighton on Saturday, the Magpies should be too good for a limited Benfica side, with Jose Mourinho expected to try and shut the game down at St James' Park.

Score prediction: Newcastle 2-0 Benfica

PSV vs Napoli (Tuesday, 8pm)

Napoli lost 1-0 at Torino on Saturday, their third away defeat in a row, but can bounce back at PSV. The Eindhoven outfit have made a good start domestically but while they drew 1-1 at Leverkusen, they had previously lost 3-1 at home to USG.

Score prediction: PSV 0-2 Napoli

USG vs Inter Milan (Tuesday, 8pm)

USG's opening win at PSV was followed by their hammering against Newcastle and Inter Milan are expected to be too good after beating Roma 1-0 on Saturday. The Nerazzurri are still to concede in Europe and can keep their defensive record intact.

Score prediction: USG 0-2 Inter Milan

Villarreal vs Man City (Tuesday, 8pm)

Erling Haaland's frightening form means Manchester City are almost a goal ahead every time they run out. The Norwegian has netted in 11 straight games for club and country and can inspire his team to another victory over Villarreal.

Score prediction: Villarreal 0-2 Manchester City

Athletic Bilbao vs Qarabag (Wednesday, 5.45pm)

Two defeats already mean Athletic are edging towards must-win territory. Qarabag have more wiggle room after two opening victories, but Los Leones beat Mallorca 2-1 in their last home outing and a similar result is tipped at San Mames.

Score prediction: Athletic Bilbao 2-1 Qarabag

Galatasaray vs Bodo/Glimt (Wednesday, 5.45pm)

Galatasaray beat Liverpool 1-0 on matchday two and should have no issues against Bodo/Glimt, who have recorded 2-2 draws against Slavia Prague and Tottenham.

The Norwegian side can score in Istanbul but little else is expected from them.

Score prediction: Galatasaray 4-1 Bodo/Glimt

Atalanta vs Slavia Prague (Wednesday, 8pm)

PSG hammered Atalanta in their opening game, but La Dea beat Club Brugge 2-1 second time out and can grab another victory.

Visitors Slavia Prague drew with Bodo but were beaten by Inter and may fall short against another Italian outfit.

Score prediction: Atalanta 3-1 Slavia Prague

Bayern Munich vs Club Brugge (Wednesday, 8pm)

Bayern have won all 11 competitive fixtures this season and should make it 12 on Wednesday. However, Club Brugge have beaten Monaco and tested Atalanta, so they are good for a goal.

Score prediction: Bayern 4-1 Club Brugge

Chelsea vs Ajax (Wednesday, 8pm)

Chelsea's 3-0 win at Nottingham Forest on Saturday was their third in a row and they next face Ajax, who have lost to Inter and Marseille without scoring. More of the same looks likely at Stamford Bridge.

Score prediction: Chelsea 2-0 Ajax

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Liverpool (Wednesday, 8pm)

Goals have been scored on both sides in eight of Eintracht Frankfurt's last nine, most recently Sunday's 2-2 at Freiburg.

Liverpool have lost their last four but can take advantage of another team low on confidence, with Die Adler winning only one of their last five.

Score prediction: Eintracht Frankfurt 1-3 Liverpool

Monaco vs Tottenham (Wednesday, 8pm)

Tottenham looked good again against Aston Villa but lost 2-1. That was at home and they are arguably better suited to playing on the road.

They next head to Monaco, who have recorded score draws in their last three and a repeat of the 2-2 draw with Man City seems possible.

Score prediction: Monaco 2-2 Tottenham

Real Madrid vs Juventus (Wednesday, 8pm)

Real Madrid beat Juventus 1-0 at the Club World Cup, but should have more joy on Wednesday.

Juve have been hit by the news that key defender Gleison Bremer will spend more time on the sidelines with a knee injury and Los Blancos look too good to turn down.

Score prediction: Real Madrid 2-0 Juventus

Sporting CP vs Marseille (Wednesday, 8pm)

Both Sporting and Marseille have won one and lost one, so may have to settle for a draw at the Estadio Jose Alvalade. These two look well-matched and a score draw seems likely.

Score prediction: Sporting CP 2-2 Marseille
