Arsenal duo miss team training ahead of Champions League clash
Arsenal have been handed a double fitness concern ahead of their Champions League clash with Lille, with Piero Hincapie and Martin Zubimendi both absent from training.
Neither player was involved as Mikel Arteta’s side trained ahead of the European fixture, leaving doubts over their availability for the game.
Hincapie’s absence could leave Arteta with a problem in defence, while Zubimendi would also be a significant miss in midfield should he be ruled out.
Arsenal returned to winning ways with a 2-1 Premier League victory over Leeds at the weekend and will now turn their attention to the Champions League.
Arteta is expected to provide a further update on the pair when he speaks ahead of the Lille game, with Arsenal facing a busy run of fixtures in the coming weeks.
In better news, William Saliba has returned to individual training as he continues his recovery from a back injury.
