In the summer, it seemed AC Milan could hire Markus Krosche and Timmo Hardung, now, those same hopes are present.

Whilst Krosche is the face of the Frankfurt project, he’s not solely responsible for the success. Instead, it’s his close relationship with Hardung that has been so effective and Milan hope to land both.

It was suggested in the summer and the current structure would allow both to arrive. However, only Krosche is ‘available’, currently. Reports suggest that things are progressing, but there is nothing final in place yet and that may be a good thing…

Hardung to join too?

According to Tuttosport, via MilanNews, the Rossoneri are still hoping to land Hardung and it should become clear today whether that will be possible. Indeed, Frankfurt are currently deciding whether to release him too.

A sporting director is expected to arrive alongside Krosche and who would be better than his current number two. The pair have worked excellently in Germany and if they’d be available as a package again, the Diavolo would be smart to appoint them both.

As said in Krosche’s statement, his departure allows Frankfurt the time to ‘reorganise for the future’, so Hardung’s departure could also fall into that, if they wanted a complete reset. Today, it seems, will be a crucial day for both projects, then.
