Matchday two of the new 2026/27 Bundesliga campaign commences on Friday, September 4th, with the televised tussle between Stuttgart and FC Koln at the MHP Arena.

The Iron ones rescued a point in added time against Frankfurt (3-3) in their opener, though they might be less fortunate this time.

Borussia Mönchengladbach vs Elversberg – Saturday September 5 (2.30pm)
Elversberg flew out of the blocks in their first-ever Bundesliga fixture and shocked Leverkusen (3-2) and they are capable of being a nuisance again when they visit Gladbach. The hosts conceded 11 shots on target in their 3-0 reverse at RB Leipzig on the opening weekend and defensive issues could deny them victory on Saturday.

Hoffenheim vs Borussia Dortmund – Saturday September 5 (2.30pm)
Dortmund lost Giannis Konstantelias to injury and Samuele Inácio to suspension last weekend but still enjoyed a routine win over Hamburg (2-0) to start the new campaign. Hoffenheim meanwhile, looked vulnerable at the back in their 3-2 defeat at FC Koln and they’ve also lost four of their last five meetings with Dortmund at the PreZero Arena.

Werder Bremen vs RB Leipzig – Saturday September 5 (2.30pm)
Werder Bremen barely beat the drop last season and they played like potential relegation candidates again in their 4-1 loss at Freiburg on Sunday. In contrast, new Leipzig boss Martin Demichelis oversaw a 3-0 win over Gladbach in his first league fixture at the helm.
