Bayern Munich has been hit with one of their worst injury crisis in years. The attack has been stripped to the bare bones, leaving them in a very vulnerable position. Harry Kane and Lennart Karl are now the only fit attackers available, pretty much a worst-case scenario for Vincent Kompany and his men. Bayern fans have eagerly been waiting for updates on the injured stars, and thankfully, an update has come, with both good and bad news.

At the start of the week, Max Eberl (via iMiaSanMia on X) gave an update on when the injured players will be back for Bayern, and some of them are major blows. Ismael Saibari is expected to be out for 3-4 months after having ankle surgery, and Serge Gnabry will be out for the rest of the calendar year 2026 after suffering a hamstring injury.

The only good news with the injured players is that Jamal Musiala and Luis Diaz will be back in team training following the November international break, with the two stars progressing well with their injury recoveries.

Bayern's injuries are stacking up at the worst possible time

While this update isn't all positive, it's still an update nonetheless, and that is what fans have been waiting for. While it will no doubt be a challenge for Bayern, they are going to have to do the best they can with what they've got for the next couple of matches. With Diaz and Musiala set to be back after the international break, that thankfully leaves just two matches with their absence.

Saibari and Gnabry, on the other hand, will be major misses, but especially Saibari. The Moroccan had been filling in for the injured Musiala and had been finding some strong form, and despite not registering a goal or assist in his last four games, he has been a difference maker for the team. 3-4 months without Saibari will be hard to deal with, given the squad is already thin in attack, and that's not even taking Gnabry's injury into consideration.

The German was sidelined with an injury to start the season and is believed to have re-aggravated the injury, keeping him out for the rest of 2026, also a worst-case scenario for Bayern. While he hasn't been in his best form, having an experienced player like him in the squad you can bring in to help with rotation is a major bonus with how thin the attack is, but now there is almost no room for Bayern to rotate.

Harry Kane, Lennart Karl, and Michael Olise are the only fit attackers in the team following all the injuries, bringing into question what happens if one of them gets injured too? With all the injuries, we could see Alphonso Davies used more in the attack, as we saw against Arsenal, where the Canadian put in one of his best performances of the season so far.
