Harry Kane close to signing new Bayern Munich contract?
The Bundesliga is back after the international break, and Bayern Munich will resume action against Augsburg away from home on Saturday.
The German giants have made a strong start to the 2026-27 campaign, remaining unbeaten in their opening four matches, picking up 10 points.
Off the pitch, the club’s first priority will be to secure the future of Harry Kane.

For the best part of the past few months, there has been a lot of speculation going on around Kane’s future at Bayern.
The former Tottenham Hotspur striker was linked with a move to the Premier League, while there have been interest from Barcelona as well.
Kane always maintained that he wants to continue at Bayern and win trophies.
For Bayern, it is absolutely necessary to secure his future, especially after a breathtaking 2025-26 campaign, that could earn him a Ballon d’Or award.
Kane is now 33, and Bayern will have to be careful in handing him a long-term deal. But the club believe, Kane’s impact for the club will not diminish in the next two years at least.

Christian Falk has exclusively told CfBayern Insider that Kane is close to signing a new deal, and talks are very positive.
There is a positive vibe around both camps, and it is now a question of when rather than if.
Falk said: It is TRUE: Harry Kane’s contract talks with Bayern Munich are moving forward. It’s very positive at the moment. We mentioned previously that there were some productive talks before the international break.
“I’ve heard that these have been going on since, with the two parties discussing numbers and the contract. I’ve been getting positive vibes from both sides. Nobody thinks things will fall apart; it’s simply a question of when, not if, it will all work out. I think things could move very quickly with Kane returning to Bayern. But, of course, they’re happy to take their time, as no one thinks either party will make a surprise move in negotiations.
“It will normally be a contract until 2029. There are some ideas about the option of an additional year. In the last column, we mentioned a potential exit clause being included in the contract. But at the moment, I think there’s no question that the future of Harry Kane is very much at Bayern Munich.”
