Bayern Munich will have to do without several injured regulars against Atletico Madrid. The Munich club are taking precautionary measures.

Bayern Munich have added three players to their Champions League squad via the B list ahead of Tuesday evening's match against the Rojiblancos (8.45pm), according to the official UEFA squad list.

Among the additions are Campus talents Jannis Bärtl, Erblin Osmani and Noah Codjo-Evora. None of the three have featured in Bayern Munich's Champions League squad this season, but the club can now select them at any time.

The UEFA squad list is not the matchday squad. It only makes players eligible for selection in Champions League matches if the coach decides to call them up. Bayern Munich have added Bärtl, Osmani and Codjo-Evora because of their current severe injury problems.

Against Atletico, Bayern Munich will be without several regulars: Jamal Musiala (muscle fibre tear), Luiz Diaz (muscle bundle tear), Serge Gnabry (muscle injury), Ismael Saibari (syndesmosis ligament tear) and Bara Ndiaye (appendix operation).

Manuel Neuer (foot injury) completed his first session with the team on Monday before their departure and travelled to Madrid, although it remains unclear whether he will play. Michael Olise, who came off as a precaution during Saturday's high-profile Bundesliga match, is also in the squad.

Both are "available" against Atletico, interim coach Aaron Danks said in Madrid on Monday evening: "We just need to see whether they are ready to start or whether they will come off the bench." Sporting director Max Eberl had earlier stressed that Olise's presence in particular was "positive, because he is an outstanding player who is always an asset to us": "But we will also avoid the risk of it becoming a longer-term injury."

Will the Campus talents play against Atletico Madrid?

None of the three youngsters made the final squad for the match against Atletico. Tim Binder, however, is a surprise inclusion in the matchday squad after being selected via the B list, which also includes Bärtl, Osmani and Codjo-Evora.

After three Champions League matches, Bayern Munich remain unbeaten but have dropped points twice, drawing against FC Arsenal and Viking FK. They are currently 14th in the table with five points.
