Bayern Munich 2-2 Borussia Dortmund: Player ratings for the BVB from encouraging Klassiker draw
Borussia Dortmund held Bayern Munich to a 2-2 draw in the Bundesliga on Saturday as the Der Klassiker rivals shared the spoils in a pulsating clash at the Allianz Arena.
Fabio Silva came off the bench to score the equalizer for them in the 89th minute, while Serhou Guirassy had restored parity for them earlier. Dortmund's unbeaten start to the top-flight campaign continued.
Here are the player ratings for Borussia Dortmund:
Gregor Kobel - 8: Dortmund's underrated star of the evening with some vital saves, including one on Ismael Saibari one-on-one; held his ground well in the face of Bayern onslaught.
Joane Gadou - 7.5: A colossal all-around display from Gadou, who matched shoulder to shoulder with Alphonso Davies on the pace, cutting off his supply lines with vital interventions too.
Waldemar Anton - 7: Excellent positional awareness; blocked an effort from Harry Kane in the first half too.
Nico Schlotterbeck: 7.5: The BVB skipper rose to the occasion and turned in a fine display; he also started their second goal by regaining possession from Michael Olise and driving forward with it.
Maximilian Beier - 6: Created two chances, including one for Bellingham's goal that was ruled out but was otherwise on the fringes of the match, struggling to offer anything meaningful of note.
Joey Veerman - 7: Was guilty of conceding a corner which led to Bayern's second of the night but otherwise fought with tooth and nail in midfield for control.
Fellix Nmecha - 5: A night of uncharacteristic errors from the German, who lost the ball in the build-up to Laimer's goal and then conceded a penalty which although Kane missed.
Daniel Svensson - 7: The marauding Swede recovered the ball excellently and drove forward with purpose.
Jobe Bellingham - 7.5: Was rewarded for his back-to-back assists with a start and didn't disappoint; had seemed to have put BVB in front only for the referee to rule it out following a VAR review.
Carney Chukwuemeka - 7: He blocked Urbig's view in the build-up to Bellingham's goal, causing it to get chalked off, but made up for that by assisting Guirassy for the first equalizer.
Serhou Guirassy - 8: Broke his Klassiker duck with a goal and combined superbly with Silva again, even creating a chance for him.
