Ange Postecoglou is back in the Premier League after a few months away and could not have a tougher baptism as Nottingham Forest's new manager.

The former Spurs boss, sacked after winning Tottenham the Europa League, returns to North London to take on an Arsenal side smarting after their luckless pre-break 1-0 loss at Liverpool.

Team news

Williams Saliba and Bukayo Saka are set to miss out, with Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus also on the sidelines.

Cristhian Mosquera should partner Gabriel Magalhaes in the Arsenal back four with Martin Odegaard poised to return to start after a knock.

New Forest boss Postecoglou will be without Nico Gonzalez though everyone else should be available. Whether he tweaks style or personnel after such a brief time in charge remains to be seen.

The stats

Arsenal have won their last six home games against Forest by an aggregate scoreline of 19-2.

Viktor Gyokeres has scored 10 goals in his last seven home league games for Sporting and Arsenal.

Forest are on an 11-game run without a clean sheet.

Arsenal have only conceded eight corners in total in three league games.

Callum Hudson-Odoi is the only Forest player to have had a shot on target in all three of their games.

Prediction

It is all change at the City Ground which makes it hard to know quite what to expect from Nottingham Forest at Arsenal this weekend.

Nuno Espirito Santo has gone, replaced swiftly by Postecoglou, but the former Celtic and Tottenham boss has had precious little time to work with his new group.

And to make him and Forest feel even more insecure, their first assignment is at Arsenal, whose previous home game this season ended in a 5-0 mauling of Leeds.

Forest have enough pace about them, and enough of a threat from set-plays in particular, to be an irritant to any of the big guns. Let us not forget, they were Champions League contenders for long periods before fading last term.

But the weapons at Arsenal's disposal, even minus the crocked Saka, are impressive and it is one of their England stars who stands out as a betting opportunity, especially after the week he has just had.

Declan Rice scored his first goal of the season in England's 2-0 win over Andorra in their World Cup qualifier at Villa Park. And while he failed to repeat the feat in the 5-0 romp in Serbia, the midfielder did manage to fire off an astonishing seven shots, three of which were on target.

Against teams who sit deep he is a danger arriving on the edge of the box and Forest will get pushed back.

Rice looks fantastic value at 8/5 to have over 0.5 shots on target.
