Man City take on Liverpool in the headline tie of the round on Saturday
League One strugglers Port Vale aim for a huge upset when they visit Chelsea
West Ham face off with Leeds for the last semi-final place on Sunday
Just eight teams remain in the running to win the FA Cup and by Sunday evening four of them will be eliminated and the others will be heading to Wembley for the semi-finals.
We have predictions for all four of the last-eight matches which feature six Premier League teams, one Championship side and a League One club.
Man City vs Liverpool (Saturday, 12.45pm)
Man City are bidding to appear in a fourth consecutive FA Cup final after lifting the trophy in 2022-23 against Man Utd, before losing to the Red Devils and Crystal Palace over the last two seasons.
Pep Guardiola's team are also chasing a cup double after winning the EFL Cup with a 2-0 final win over Arsenal.
They will not fear facing Liverpool, having already beaten the Reds twice in the Premier League this season, 3-0 at the Etihad in November and 2-1 at Anfield in February.
The Reds have won only two of their last six games, against Wolves and Galatasaray and they have lost three of their last four away matches including a 2-1 defeat at Brighton before the international break.
There is a random element to consider as the players of both squads have been playing all around the globe this week and some will have not had much chance to prepare for this game, but the Citizens should fancy their chances of advancing to the semi-finals.
Score prediction: Manchester City 2-1 Liverpool
Chelsea vs Port Vale (Saturday, 5.15pm)
Port Vale have had a wild season, spending the last 21 matchdays in last place in League One, while also going on a fantastic FA Cup run to reach the quarter-finals for the first time since they made the last four in 1954.
The Valiants have knocked out Championship side Bristol City and Premier League Sunderland in the last two rounds, but they face a daunting task at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have not lost to a non-Premier League team in the FA Cup in 22 ties since their 2015 defeat by League One Bradford and they have been prolific so far in this competition, beating Charlton 5-1, Hull 4-0 and Wrexham 4-2 (after extra-time).
Vale will dig in and attempt to rattle the top-flight team, but they have lost their last two league games without even scoring and are likely to bow out on Saturday.
Score prediction: Chelsea 4-0 Port Vale
Southampton vs Arsenal (Saturday, 8pm)
Southampton are a revitalised team in the Championship and the ingredients are there for the Saints to give 14-time winners Arsenal a tough time on Saturday night.
The second-tier side have climbed to sixth in the table having been as low as 20th in the autumn and they are unbeaten in 14 games since mid-January.
The Saints have won six of their last seven home matches and knocked out Premier League Fulham in the last round.
The Gunners have a Champions League clash with Sporting on Tuesday to consider and a number of injuries to deal with, but they have plenty of strength in depth and should still squeeze through to the semi-finals.
Score prediction: Southampton 1-2 Arsenal
West Ham vs Leeds United (Sunday, 4.30pm)
West Ham and Leeds United would both still consider preserving their Premier League status to be their main aim this season, so the last of the four FA Cup quarter-finals should be a closely-fought affair.
The Hammers have gone to extra-time in all three of their FA Cup ties before edging past QPR, Burton and Brentford, needing penalties to see off the Bees, so more than 90 minutes may be required again.
Leeds have been level after 90 minutes in five of their last eight games, including their fourth-round win at Birmingham, but goals have been scarce for them in the top-flight, where they have failed to score in their last four matches.
Leeds won these two teams' first league contest this season 2-1 in November, but this tie could go the distance.
Score prediction: West Ham 1-1 Leeds United
