Recommended bet: Joe Root - Trent Rockets Top Run Scorer
Northern Superchargers face Trent Rockets in The Hundred Eliminator on Saturday, with the victors advancing to the final to face Oval Invincibles on Sunday.
The Rockets defeated the Superchargers in the group stage by four wickets and, while there looks to be little between the sides, Joe Root's class with the bat can make the difference in this eliminator.
Team News
The Superchargers have had their fair share of turnover of players this season. Mitch Santner, Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim have all departed from their squad.
Samit Patel joined the Superchargers during the campaign and has made two appearances. The all-rounder is yet to take a wicket, but scored 42 against the Invincibles last time out and is expected to retain his place in the side.
The Rockets have a settled look to their side, but are without wicketkeeper Tom Moores due to complicated player replacement rules.
He is a big loss to the Rockets, but his replacement, Ben Cox, will continue with the gloves in his absence and scored an unbeaten 17 in his only appearance to date.

The stats
Joe Root and Tom Banton lead the way with the bat for the Rockets this season with 228 runs each, with impressive all-rounder Rehan Ahmed third with 189.
Not only is Ahmed among the Rockets' top run getters, he is their leading wicket-taker with 10 in eight innings, followed by Marcus Stoinis with eight and three each for David Willey, Lockie Ferguson and Sam Cook.
For the Superchargers, Matt Potts leads the way with the ball, taking nine wickets in eight innings with a strike rate of 16.22.
Tom Lawes and Jacob Duffy are next in line with eight wickets apiece from seven and six innings respectively and both have taken their wickets at a strike rate of 14.37.
Zak Crawley is the Superchargers' top runscorer to date with 280 in eight innings, with England colleague Harry Brook second with 221.
Both men average in the mid-40s and are the key to their side's chances of progression.
Prediction
Northern Superchargers are heavily reliant on Crawley and Brook, but with the Rockets' potent bowling attack, Banton's side can restrict their opponents' scoring and have enough batting to win this match.
Their five-wicket win over the Superchargers earlier in the season proved they have the beating of Brook's team.
Root, as always, will be key for the Rockets and the England legend can once again top-score for his side and take them through to the final on Sunday against the Invincibles.
