The Cincinnati Open gets underway with qualifying on Tuesday, 11th August, running across Tuesday and Wednesday, with the main draw getting underway from Thursday, 13th August. The finals are scheduled for Sunday, 23rd August.

It is being held at the Lindner Family Tennis Centre in Mason, Ohio, USA. This is the 127th year of the tournament, and it continues to be one of the highlights on the tennis sporting calendar. The tournament is played on hard courts, with its centre courts holding 11,400 spectators, following the venue's $260 million campus expansion, which was named ATP Masters 1000 Tournament of the Year for 2025.

What to Expect from the 2026 Cincinnati Open?

Being the final Masters 1000 event before the US Open, there is lots of exciting action set to come in Ohio as players look to head into the US Open Grand Slam off the back of success and good form. The tournament remains a 96-player field in both singles draws, spanning two weeks of action.

Who is playing?

The Cincinnati Open will see the world's best tennis players take to the court, including defending champions Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek. All ten of the current world number ones across both tours' careers are represented in the field, including current top-ranked players Aryna Sabalenka and Jannik Sinner.

Alcaraz's appearance is particularly notable. The Spaniard returns to competition for the first time since shutting his season down in April due to a right wrist injury, meaning he arrives with no match play to call on since he lifted the Cincinnati trophy last year.\

• Alexander Zverev - The new world number two enters in career-best form, having won his maiden grand slam at the French Open before reaching the Wimbledon final in 2026. He'll fancy his chances of adding a Masters 1000 title on hard courts to a breakout season.
