MI's openers had given their side a commanding start and were looking in control but the Royals' bowlers fought back brilliantly, picking up key wickets and shifting the momentum. MI skipper Rashid Khan and George Linde kept their team in the hunt until the very last ball, but it wasn't enough on this occasion, as the last ball of the innings landed a few yards short of a maximum. Ottniel Baartman starred with the ball, picking up four wickets, while Sikandar Raza claimed three, turning the game in the Royals' favour. Lhuan-dre Pretorius is the Player of the Match for his stunning 98 not out in the first innings.
