The lone resistance came from Sediqullah Atal, who battled for 42 off 80 balls, but wickets fell regularly around him. Washington Sundar was the standout bowler claiming four wickets, while Kuldeep Yadav also chipped in with three. Afghanistan's batting frailties were exposed once more, with no partnerships of note. This result will be remembered as a debut to cherish for Manav Suthar and a statement of India's depth and strength in Test cricket. Manav Suthar is the Player of the Match.
