After winning the toss and bowling, Victoria struggled to take wickets early, with both Jonassen and Redmayne passing 50 as they put on a 119 run opening stand. Contributions from the rest of the batting order got Queensland up to a competitive total of 288. In reply, the Victorians also made a solid start to their innings with their first wicket coming at 82. It was then spin to win for Queensland with nine of the ten wickets coming via the spinners. Player of the Match Grace Parsons turned the momentum taking 5/37 from her 10 overs. Most of the Victorian batters made starts but were not able to go on with it to reach the target. The teams do battle again here at AB Field on Saturday.
