What a game at Cricket Central, with Potts hitting a boundary in the last over to see the visitors home by 1 wicket and secure a win in the final game of the series. The hosts were in big trouble early with the bat, as they slumped to 5/29 with Potts producing a beautiful opening spell of outswing bowling. Hayward and Webb resurrected the innings with a 100 run partnership to help get Australia A to 195. England A were also in trouble early before Scholfield and Smale combined to put them in a good position with 12 overs to go. A run-out in her follow-through from Ginger saw the end of Smale and the Australian spinners were then able to put the brakes on the lower order. The dismissal of Scholfield for a well-made 83 put the hosts back in front but some good hitting down the ground from Davis, as well as a couple of costly late misfields that went for 4 kept the visitors in contact with the required rate before the winning shot on the second ball of the final over.
