However, regular wickets prevented Southern Brave from building any lasting momentum as they couldn't form the partnership the accelerate in the second half of the innings, despite Luke Wood's maximum in the final over. It was an excellent display from all of the Birmingham Phoenix bowlers, Rehan Ahmed starred with three wickets, while Ben Dwarshuis claimed two wickets to keep the batting side under constant pressure.
