NSW were on song with the new ball, picking up two early wickets before Georgia Redmayne (105) and Grace Harris (111 off 94 balls) combined for an enormous 208-run partnership. They found boundaries with ease and frequency, batting together for over 30 overs to lay a great platform for the back end of the innings. Queensland finished with the huge total of 332 from their 50 overs. Faced with a daunting target, Wilson (76) and Healy (64) built some momentum of their own to start the chase, scoring a combined 13 fours and 3 sixes as clouds swarmed Cricket Central. Play was delayed for over 2 hours due to intermittent rain and lightning. With more than 10 runs per over required in the remaining 9 overs, NSW stayed in the hunt before some calm pieces of fielding saw Queensland get over the line and avenge their loss from last year's Final.
