However, Bridget Patterson (65 off 35 balls) used the Power Surge as a launchpad to get them within 18 runs with one over to go. She found the boundary with the first three balls but was helpless from the non-striker's end as Ashleigh Gardner held her nerve to complete the match-winning run out on the last ball. The Sixers will now host the winner of The Knockout for a spot in The Final against the Hobart Hurricanes.
