- West Brom have drawn three in a row
- Rotherham were relegated last Friday
- Recommended bet:
West Brom to win both halves

West Brom have dropped critical points over the last three matches as they strive to nail down a play-off spot but they will surely see Rotherham as a pushover when they clash at The Hawthorns.

Leam Richardson's relegated Millers have lost their last six away games and have not won on the road since November 2022.

Team news

Only Daryl Dike and Jayson Molumby remain out for West Brom who could welcome back striker Josh Maja, though probably from the bench.

Grady Diangana is set to continue in the No.10 role after being converted from a winger.

Richardson has said he will introduce some youngsters over Rotherham's final games, with teenage striker Ben Hutton in line to be involved at The Hawthorns.

The likes of Cafu, Jamie Lindsay and Shane Ferguson could all be drafted back in as Rotherham look to save face.

The stats

West Brom are unbeaten in nine with five draws in their last eight.

Rotherham have lost six in a row away from home and have not won on their travels since November 2022.

They have been beaten to nil in 11 of their 20 away games and 56 goals conceded is the most by any side away from home this season.

West Brom have conceded just five first-half goals at home, the best record in the division, while Rotherham have scored just five first-half goals away, the worst record.

The pressure is off Rotherham with relegation confirmed but there is little evidence they will suddenly spring to life at The Hawthorns against play-off chasing West Brom.

The Millers were effectively down before they took on Plymouth on Friday night yet still managed just two shots on target in another tepid excursion where keeper Viktor Johansson again kept them in it.

It is hard to give them a sniff at The Hawthorns where West Brom have lost only three times in seven months, going down to Leicester and Southampton in the league and Wolves in the FA Cup.

Carlos Corberan's men needed to have turned a couple of their recent draws – five in their last eight – into wins to avoid any late angst in securing their play-off spot.

But this match against the worst defence in the division and a team incapable of getting anything on their travels, looks like a free hit.

The Millers have lost their last six away on the road, losing both halves in three of those, and that looks the best option on Wednesday night.
