Liverpool are planning to make a move for England and Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham next summer.

Bellingham, 19, has impressed in his 15 appearances for the Three Lions and has been an ever-present for Dortmund since his breakthrough in 2020.

Now according to BILD, Jurgen Klopp believes the youngster to be the perfect solution to his current midfield crisis.

The six-time Champions League winners have been without Thiago Alcantara, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Curtis Jones due to injury, drafting in Arthur Melo on loan from Juventus to provide a short-term fix.

And with Liverpool's ageing engine room featuring the likes of James Milner and Jordan Henderson, Bellingham could provide the long-term solution on Merseyside.

The teenager made his name at Birmingham before moving to Germany, where he has scored 12 goals in 97 appearances for BVB.

When asked about his future earlier in the summer, Bellingham said: "The only future I think about is the next game for Dortmund."

His current employers sit second in the Bundesliga while Klopp's outfit have been left reeling from a 4-1 Champions League loss at Napoli on Wednesday night, and lie seventh in the Premier League, six points behind leaders Arsenal.
